A football event should give a family more than a date on the calendar. It should give the athlete a chance to learn, compete and understand what needs work—and help parents make better decisions about the journey ahead.
The Next Level Classic Series brings those goals together through separate Junior and Freshman/Sophomore experiences. Our Vision’s purpose is stronger athletes and stronger families, with education and development supporting the competition.
Development before the scoreboard
A college-style development environment asks athletes to listen, learn assignments, communicate and respond to coaching. Those habits matter beyond one game. Families can look for progress in preparation, position-specific technique and how an athlete responds when a rep does not go as planned.
Full-padded competition also provides a different context from a highlight clip or a non-contact workout. It gives athletes an opportunity to apply what they practice against other players. Participation is not a prediction of college potential or a guarantee of future selection.
Use the film as a learning tool
Event film can help an athlete and their coaches review performance. Look for repeatable habits: footwork, leverage, pursuit, communication and effort away from the ball. Identify a few specific improvements rather than judging the entire experience by one successful play.
A useful takeaway might be a clearer development priority, better examples of the athlete’s work or a more honest conversation about readiness. Film and exposure do not guarantee that a college coach will watch, respond or make an offer.
Parents are part of the experience
Parent workshops and family education are part of the Classic’s purpose. Families need room to ask questions about preparation, academics, recruiting and supporting a young athlete without taking over their responsibilities. Bring questions, take notes and discuss next steps together after the event.
Prepare before you arrive
Review the correct division’s current event information, travel details, required forms and equipment instructions. Junior and Freshman/Sophomore are separate events; families should use the information attached to their own offer or invitation.
Set two goals before the trip: one football goal and one personal-development goal. Afterward, review what the athlete learned and choose a practical habit to carry into school and the next season.
Start with the correct next step
Participation is by offer or invitation. Explore the Classic Series for current details. New prospects can complete the Classic evaluation questionnaire to begin the review process; submitting it does not reserve a roster position. Families already invited should use their registration instructions.
The Classic is a development, competition and family-education experience. College coaches are not promised as attendees, and participation does not guarantee admission, a scholarship or a roster opportunity.
